The reception desk from JAK Enterprises is located just inside the entrance. It has an eight inch high kick area above the floor and a lowered area for the convenience of people of all heights including those in wheelchairs.

We maintain a guest book which we ask all visitors to sign. We also keep a Comments/Suggestions book for feedback from visitors. Suggestions for improvements are appreciated and they are taken seriously. We aren't able to be everything to everyone but we try to serve the largest universe of people that is possible from a practical point of view.

The front entry door from Kolbe Windows & Doors features a large glass panel in the center. This is a feature that has variations ranging from a small glass window to side panels in the wall next to the door. The purpose in a residential house is to make it possible for people inside to see who is at the door before they open the door. It is possible to have tempered mirror glass in the door so outside visitors can't see in or break the glass.

The automatic door opener is from Westhill Home Medical. A power door opener pad is located on the wall next to the door and on a canopy support post outside.

A rough carpet mat is inset in the entryway floor to help prevent slips. All flooring in the house, except the laminated wood, was donated and installed by Maaco's Floor Covering. The laminated cherry wood was donated by Award Hardwood Floors. Maaco's also installed the laminated wood from Award.

The entryway floor transitions from ceramic to hardwood on one side and low nap carpet on the other. Transitions are smooth, barrier free.
