House Feature - Using the stairlift

Using the stairlift

This view shows the Bruno Electra-Ride-Stairlift being used by a person. She is going up the steps. Note that the stairway handrails on both sides are still usable for people who can walk up and down the steps.

The chair can be operated by the occupant pressing a switch button on the end of the right chair arm or by using a hand held remote control unit. The remote control unit also makes it possible for the chair to be operated by a second party standing at the base or the top of the stairway. There are two remote control devices. One is stored at the top of the stairs and the other is stored at the bottom. For more specifics see the Bruno website.

The chair folds up when not in use. It has a seat belt to assure the safety of its occupant.
