The oven door swings open sideways instead of flopping down, which is an obstacle to people in wheelchairs.

The drawer type microwave opens and closes by pushing a button so it's easy to use, even for people with limited strength and hand function. There is a slide-out breadboard above the microwave which is convenient for moving items to or from the oven.

The cooktop has a roll-under area for people in wheelchairs or cooks who prefer to be seated. The controls are located on the front right corner of the cooktop so users don't need to reach over or around burners and pots. A tilted mirror is located on the wall above the cooktop making it possible for users of all heights to see inside pots and pans from seated or standing positions, even from other the other end of the kitchen. The pots and pans have glass lids which also helps provide vision inside.

The vent fan and lights can be turned on/off with a switch located on the sidewall of the roll-under area or by the standard switches on rangehood.

The open cabinet area is the future location of a slide-out rack that will hold cookie sheets or similar items.
