This view of the entire kitchen shows the open kitchen concept. It is well lit by natural light as well as by interior lighting. There are open areas under the counters for people who are seated or in wheelchairs.
The tilt mirror over the cook-top is helpful to people who are seated or in wheelchairs. The lengthened chain on the ceiling fanlight is useful for people in wheelchairs. It has a large pendant on the end for easy grip by people with limited hand function.
The height adjustable sink is easy to see from this view.
The ceramic floor is non-slip.
The side-by-side refrigerator has pull-out shelves and large water/ice opening on the front.
The contrasting edge on countertop is helpful to people with sight impairment.
The bay window has a lever type lock. This lock is on all windows for easier use by people with limited hand function.
Kitchen cabinets are custom made by Bannach Cabinets, Almond, WI. All cabinets have loop style pull hardware. The wall cabinet nearest to the bay window will be height adjustable in the future. Currently, it contains a pull-out, pull-down shelf unit. For more information about cabinets contact:
