We placed a large mirror on the wall above the cooktop and tilted the top forward to make it possible for seated people and people in wheelchairs to see what is cooking without needing to look down inside the pots and pans by leaning over for standing people or pulling the pot toward you and tilting it. The cookware has glass lids making it possible to see inside the cookware without removing the lids.
The mirror is a very inexpensive and simple solution. The mirors can be purchased at most building materials stores. We attached a narrow wood strip to the wall along the bottom edge to support the mirror. This helps anchor and support the mirror bottom and it allowed us to simply use picture wire to hold the upper mirrror in place.
