The ground breaking event went very well on Augusr 29, 2006. It was in the SE End of the NTC NE parking lot. A number of contributors were there but I thought everyone might be interested in the two photos below. The first picture shows the crowd over the back of my head. There were almost 70 people there. Hey… the hair from where that little bald spot is was left sticking to the roof of a Buick on Aug 14, 1991.
The people you see in the front row are (L/R): Rick Nierzwicki, president Keller, Inc, Pat McCrackin, CEO Abby Bank, Len Olbrantz, Manager Keller Inc, Roger Plamann, Architectural Design Instructor NTC, Jenny Fasula, Executive Director, Midstate Independent Living Consultants, Judy Geurink (da wife), Jim Tipple, Wausau City Mayor. Other notables attending were Mike Salsieder, President Kolbe & Kolbe, Lori Weyers, president NTC, and Tom Mack, retired president Community Foundation North Central Wisconsin.
To see the site, take Campus Drive East past the main entrance to NTC and watch for the white Keller trailer at the East end of the parking lot near the intersection of Campus Dr and 4th Ave.
